Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 29 June 2026

Pinewood Search is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the widely recognized standard for web accessibility, and we incorporate WCAG 2.2 AA improvements where practical. We build accessibility directly into the site's code rather than relying on an overlay widget.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML with proper landmarks, headings, and one main heading per page.
  • A "Skip to main content" link and full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators.
  • Labels on every form field, with errors conveyed by text and motion, not color alone.
  • Color contrast that meets AA targets, and meaning never carried by color alone.
  • Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful graphics; decorative graphics hidden from assistive tech.
  • Respect for the "reduce motion" system setting, which simplifies or disables animation.
  • Responsive layout that reflows and remains usable when zoomed.

Known limitations

We test regularly, but no site is ever perfect. If you encounter content or functionality that isn't accessible to you, please let us know. We treat these reports as a priority.
